Archaic period to Late Antiquity
The lower excavation area is accessible beside the sea, while the acropolis lies higher up. Even a short visit shows how the city was connected both with the coast and with the hill.
Children can compare Amathus with Palaepaphos: both are associated with Aphrodite, but they look different and tell their stories in different ways.
At the site we focus on specific reference points: the agora and columns, the enormous stone vessel, the route towards the acropolis and the water installations.
