Sixteenth to tenth centuries BCE
Cypro-Minoan signs were used in Cyprus during the second millennium BCE. They are known from short inscriptions on clay tablets, vessels, metal objects and other finds.
The script has still not been convincingly deciphered. It is therefore impossible to assign sounds to individual signs with confidence or to turn an activity into a “translation” of a text.
The later Cypriot syllabary belongs to a different historical period. In the activities we compare the form, material and repetition of signs, but we do not present signs from the later syllabary as Cypro-Minoan.

The activities preserve the distinction between undeciphered Cypro-Minoan writing and the later Cypriot syllabary.
