The memorial is connected with fallen servicemen and with the Noratlas aircraft brought down by friendly fire in 1974.
Before visiting with older children, we explain that this is not an attraction but a place of mourning and national memory.
At the site we focus on specific reference points: the Noratlas memorial, rows of graves, military emblems and a map of events.
