Ottoman period
The mosque developed from a former Augustinian church, and a hammam survives nearby.
This is a useful stop for discussing how the functions of buildings change and which parts of the older architecture remain visible.
At the site we focus on specific reference points: the Gothic doorway, minaret, star-shaped openings of the hammam and the relationship between the two buildings.
