The exhibition and view towards Famagusta help connect personal family stories with the political map of the island.
With children it is better to explain in advance why a visible city can be physically close yet remain inaccessible for a long time.
At the site we focus on specific reference points: the present-day view and an old photograph, the hotel towers of Varosha, the buffer zone and the distance as perceived by the eye.
