Archaic period to the Roman era
The complex stood several kilometres from the city and was dedicated to Apollo as protector of the woodlands.
For a family trip, it is a useful reminder that an ancient city consisted of more than houses and a theatre: important ritual places could stand outside the urban area.
At the site we focus on specific reference points: the Temple of Apollo, the sacred altar, the circular monument, the palaestra and the heating system.
