Fourth century CE
Near the village of Peyia, north of Paphos, we visited the ruins of the early Christian Basilica of Saint George.
We especially remembered the extensive surviving mosaic floors and the way the church complex opens directly towards the sea.
At the site we focus on specific reference points: the three basilicas, naves and columns, mosaic animals and the baptistery.
